We had an excellent experience with Mears connect standard yesterday.
We waited less than 10mins for small minivan. Our driver Eddie was super helpful. There was one family dropped off before us.
We stayed at Carribean Beach resort and realised we had left a bag in the minivan 30mins after drop off. We called Mears and they returned the bag to the hotel within 30mins.
Eddie gave good tips along the journey. I would certainly use them again.

We had an absolutely horrific experience with Mears when we arrived in Orlando last week. We took a late flight so Mears was our only non-ride share transportation option. Mears did not provide us with a bus but sent a taxi instead. It was at least 20 minutes until the taxi arrived and we were able to get going. Ten minutes into our ride to our Disney resort there were beeping sounds and smoke billowing out of the engine. The driver pulled over to the side of the freeway and contacted dispatch to send us another car. We waited on the shoulder of the freeway for over an hour before another taxi showed up. The new driver told us that the taxis are all so old that they are very unsafe. He said that his had over 350,000 miles on it and that the broken down vehicle had even higher mileage. His car’s rear windows were broken which caused problems at the security checkpoints at WDW. The taxi driver got lost and took several wrong turns on his way to our Disney resort. I would have thought that these Mears taxi drivers would know Walt Disney World like the back of their hands. Anyhow, after several wrong turns and the driver trying to drop us off at the wrong resort we finally arrived at our hotel at 3 am—over two hours after we had landed at the airport. That night was an absolute nightmare! We had no issues in the way back to the airport though. When I contacted Mears customer service about our horrific trip they said that nothing that happened to us could have been foreseen or prevented. I think having cars with lower mileage could be a start. The customer service lady said that all she was willing to do is give us a 50% refund on our arrival fares. Not even a full refund after being stranded on the side of the freeway for over an hour? Anyhow, I have used Sunshine Flyer in the past and have only had positive experiences. I will never use Mears Connect again.

We paid the elevated price for direct service, which is supposed to be a limited or no wait. Understanding it was still a shared ride. Once we got our luggage, we waited more than 30 minutes on the bus to depart. Next time we will pay for a private ride with direct transportation without the wait. The prices are about the same. Time is money at Disney World- literally. Waiting that long for a bus to depart is a waste of time.

My wife and I planned a Disney trip this February, 2023. I reserved Mears Connect to pick us up at the Orlando airport and to take us to our hotel and then 5 days later, a returned trip from our hotel back to the airport. I paid a total of $64.00 for both trips. The trip from the airport to the hotel was perfect. On Friday, February 10th, our scheduled pick up time was at 6:30pm, which we received a confirmation text the previous day. We were outside of the hotel at 6:15pm and never saw a Mears Connect bus. I called the main number, gave our confirmation # and the lady put me on hold. After about 5 minutes, she returned and said "We had some shuttle issues and a taxi will be there in 11 minutes to pick you up" I replied, if I wouldn't have called, how would we have known that? What about a follow up text, like the confirmation text we received the previous day? The lady was extremely rude and would never answer that question. She then said that there would be "No charge" for the taxi, that they would pay for it. I reminded her that there is a charge, the $32.00, half of the $64.00 I paid when I reserved the bus. What about refunding my $32.00? She rudely said, there will be No Refund. I said, so the taxi isn't really free, I'm paying $32.00. She just replied, Have a good Day and hung up.
I would think that a reputable company, who in reality "Forgot us" would be super apologetic and would want to refund our $32.00, pay for our taxi and encourage us to use their services again in the future. That would have given them a "10" rating.
I would highly recommend renting a car or using another transportation company.

I would like to explain a terrible experience I had with Mears Taxi service on my vacation to Disney –
My family needed a ride to the airport early in the morning so I was told to book with a reliable company called Mears – My hotel said they would take care of me…… We needed a taxi for family of 5 at our resort at 4:15 AM – So we would make our flight at SFB airport at 7 AM –
I had a bad feeling after booking so I knew I was going to call that morning to be sure all was good. All was not good. I never got a text at 4 AM letting me know driver was on way….. I called Mears at 4:17 AM and they said driver was 24 minutes away – I thought well that’s ok, that’s why we booked early enough to not miss our flight.
After 26 minutes I called back. Operator said our taxi was taken by someone else, this is after we had been sitting at the lobby of our resort (family of 5 with young kids) since 4:00 AM – I asked how that is even possible – She started looking in to this and said our taxi went to wrong resort, and my phone number was entered wrong?????!!!!!!!!?????? She said we could get another one in 28 minutes......
HOW CAN THIS HAPPPEN!!!!!!!!!
I was so mad you would not even be able to comprehend! I booked a service that was supposed to be top notch, highly recommended so you could get me to my airport ON TIME!!! My family of wife and young kids which I was hoping to rely on you get take care of me!!
Thank God our resort took care of us and got us to airport 45 minutes before our flight took off

So many are bashing MEARS. I have so many good things to say about our service. They showed up exactly when they said they would, we even received a text stating they would be arriving in 15 min. If you are concerned about other stops before getting to the airport, have your pickup time be alittle earlier than the 3 hour mark. We had plenty of time once arriving at MCO to get through security AND check in our luggage.

Airport to resort
Pros:
Small van with 11 people. Rediculous... Took an hour and a half to get to the resort after going to 4 other resorts.. rediculous.. will take Sunshine Flyer or Uber next time!!!Cons:

Although we went to the wrong spot initially, once we got to the other side of the concourse, everything worked as planned. More than that, I accidentally left my wallet on the bus. I was freaking out because how would I vacation without my wallet. I called and Nicola contacted the driver, who looked for it, found it, brought it back to their hub and then, even better, they sent the wallet to my Disney hotel with the next driver. Yes, everything was there. It restored my trust in people!

For my first mears connect we arrived at 12:40a at Orlando international airport. We were directed to the wrong terminal multiple times by airport staff and arrived at mears connect at 1:40a due to this. We then didn’t get onto a mears connect until 2:53a. We did not arrive at our resort until 4:00a.
Then for the second mears connect experience we arrived at what we thought was the pick up spot for it at our resort 15 minutes early. We were told by our first mears connect driver we would be picked up right here. The mears connect was at another location then the first mears connect left. I called mears connect to get another and they told me it would be a marked shuttle saying mears connect and that they would be there at 6:55a. I stayed in the location told originally by the mears connect staff to be, no mears connect again and no notification that the second mears connect had arrived. I then endured multiple messages, phone calls and emails to mears connect and they refused to pick us up. We had to pay a 75 dollar Uber instead, and mears did not refund.
