CHEF MORIMOTO INTRODUCES CHEF YUHI FUJINAGA AS EXECUTIVE CHEF FOR MORIMOTO ASIA AT DISNEY SPRINGS

Chef Masaharu Morimoto and Patina Restaurant Group have named Yuhi Fujinaga as executive chef of Morimoto Asia at Disney Springs. Chef Yuhi now oversees the day-to-day culinary operations at the pan-Asian restaurant. Previously, Chef Yuhi was executive chef at Patina Restaurant Group's New York City-based Sea Grill. Known for his modern cooking style, Chef Yuhi draws inspiration from his Japanese heritage and upbringing in Hawaii, where he learned to cook from his grandmother.

Pete’s Dragon New Trailer

Beginning July 1, 2016, a sneak preview of scenes from Disney's all-new "Pete's Dragon" will be screened at Disney California Adventure at Disneyland Resort and Disney's Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World. At Disney's Hollywood Studios, the preview of "Pete's Dragon" will be presented as part of the One Man's Dream attraction. At Disney California Adventure will get to see this advance look at clips from the film in 3D with special in-theater effects at the Sunset Showcase Theater in Hollywood Land. "Pete's Dragon" is the reimagining of the Disney film adventure of an orphaned boy named Pete and his best friend Elliot, who just happens to be a dragon. "Pete's Dragon" opens in theaters in 3D on August 12, 2016.

University of Virginia Student Gets Kick Out of Disney Princess Half Marathon Victory

Shannon Crawford, 21, a student at the University of Virginia, won the Disney Princess Half Marathon on February 21, covering the course in 1:24:49. The Princess Half Marathon capped a four-day race weekend that featured various races and events all geared toward women, including the Disney Princess 5K, the Disney Princess Enchanted 10K, runDisney Kids' Races and the Glass Slipper Challenge, which required runners to complete the 10K on Saturday and the half marathon on Sunday. In all, more than 44,000 runners participated in the weekend's events.
