Another closure has hit Disney Springs, and while we knew it was coming, it still makes us sad.

Back in late May, it was confirmed that all the food trucks in Disney Springs would be closing, and currently, there’s nothing in progress to replace them. The final one left standing was GoJuice, but as of June 7th, it’s now confirmed that all of the food trucks are no more.
The food trucks were located on the West Side of Disney Springs and included Urban Eatery Cilantro, GoJuice, and 4Rivers Cantina. What’s really interesting is that Disney never made an official announcement about the food trucks closing. Instead, we just noticed them beginning to close and be removed, and when we chatted with a Cast Member working at one of them, it was the only way we got official confirmation. However, now? They’re all gone.

Now, this is far from the only change happening in Disney Springs — in fact, it’s been quite the year for closures already. Johnston & Murphy closed back on May 7th, Shore closed its doors on May 1st, and earlier this year, Sprinkles and Francesca’s closed as well. Now, there are lots of other spots opening this year, which we’re looking forward to such as LEVEL99, Vans, Six Ravens, among many others.

So, first let me say that this is my personal thoughts on the food trucks and that I understand and respect others opinions. But for me and my family, we never liked having the trucks clutter up DS. We also felt they were eye sores. For us, they simply do not fit the Disney vibe. The trucks took away the beauty of Disney Springs and made it feel like a carnival. For us, they can’t be gone soon enough. For others, I’m sure you will miss them.
