REVIEW: Why We Keep Going Back To This Disney Springs Dining Spot

Disney Springs might have a lot of great shopping, but it also has a lot of great food, with celebrity chef-owned restaurants, over-the-top donuts, some of the best cookies we’ve ever had, and more.

The best part is that there is a little something for everyone in Disney Springs, but if you’re looking for a hearty yet quick meal, you can’t beat The Daily Poutine. Now, we’ve talked about this dining spot before, but we’re going to talk about it again because a new poutine is available there, and we need to tell you about it.

For those not familiar with poutine, it’s basically a Canadian dish made with French fries, brown gravy, and cheese curds. Poutine doesn’t already photograph well (so if you Google it, you might not be impressed), but trust us when we say it tastes incredible. Well, The Daily Poutine does a lot of cool things with poutine with different flavors, and this month, the flavor is Beef and Mushroom Poutine for $12.99. It’s made with beef brisket, button mushrooms, brown poutine gravy, cheese curds, and lime crema curds.

So the first thing we always notice is how good the fries are at The Daily Poutine. They’re crispy on the outside, fluffy in the middle, and perfectly seasoned. The brown gravy is rich and thick and full of tender pieces of brisket. You can taste the earthiness of the mushrooms, but we wanted more. But you get all the flavors in each bite. Of course, we can’t forget the squeaky cheese curds, which just add a nice textural component. This is very close to a traditional poutine, so if you’re a traditionalist, you might love this.
