No matter when you’re heading to Disney World, it’s always a good idea to pay attention to any upcoming closures that might impact your trip.

Whether it’s a hotel pool, a ride, or even a restaurant, being aware of these closures can help prevent a whole lot of disappointment in the long run. If you’re planning an upcoming visit to Disney World, you need to be aware of this popular hotel restaurant closure at the Grand Floridian.
One of our favorite brunch restaurants at Disney World is about to close for several months! The Grand Floridian Cafe at — you guessed it — Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort will be undergoing refurbishment from mid-July through October, meaning it will be unavailable for dining.

While Disney hasn’t announced an official closure date just yet, the Disney World website is showing regular hours for the Grand Floridian Cafe through Sunday, July 19th, but on July 20th, the hours change to brunch only.
We anticipate that this might be the date of the closure, because Disney has announced that brunch will be moving upstairs to Citricos while Grand Floridian Cafe is under refurbishment.

Once Disney makes an official announcement about the Grand Floridian Cafe’s closure — in addition to a potential reopening date — we’ll be sure to let you know.
Keep in mind that this closure is part of further refurbishments taking place at the Grand Floridian Resort, including widespread exterior renovations that will continue through 2027. If you’re visiting the hotel, you might be able to see or hear construction during daytime hours.

If you’re looking for brunch at the Grand Floridian, consider making a reservation at the nearby Citricos, where the Cafe brunch will be moving during refurbishments. As of now, Disney hasn’t revealed if the menu will be the same, but we’re hoping it will be, as the Chicken and Mickey Waffles and Floridian-Style Eggs Benedict are some of our favorites!

We’ll be on the lookout for even more Disney World dining updates you need to know about. In the meantime, make sure you stay tuned to AllEars for the latest Disney news and more.
