Something Is Very Different at Disney's Pop Century Resort Right Now

Pop Century is currently well underway in a refurbishment that began last year. This has included both exterior work as well as updates to the rooms themselves.

And we just got an update on the current construction progress, so let’s dive in!

On a recent visit we noticed lots of construction happening to the exterior of the resort, first at the main resort sign.

As you can see, the sign is currently being worked on, and it currently has lots of white gaps in the orange paint as they continue to finish work.

We also noticed that the Splash Pad is still under construction. It closed on April 13th and was originally supposed to open at the end of April. However, they have extended the closure now, saying it will open sometime in mid-May without a specific reopening date.

So if you are planning on visiting Pop Century soon, just know that it’s possible you will see signs of construction around the resort.
