Quick! Name a water park in Orlando. Did you say Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach in Disney World? What about the water park that many people argue is the best, Volcano Bay in Universal Orlando? Well, we’ve got some news about Volcano Bay, so listen up!

Volcano Bay is home to a LOT of thrilling water slides and attractions, as well as attractions geared for kiddos and those who want to relax. Orlando doesn’t get as cold as many other parts of the United States in the winter (though it DOES get cold!), and many guests visiting Orlando in the winter want to experience the water parks. If that’s you and your family, you need to know that there are MULTIPLE days Volcano Bay will be closed in November and December.
According to the Universal Orlando website, in November, Volcano Bay will be closed on the following days:
- November 12th
- November 13th
- November 26th (this is right near Thanksgiving, meaning it could affect LOTS of trips!)

As for December, Volcano Bay will be closed a LARGE number of days:
- December 3rd
- December 4th
- December 8th
- December 9th
- December 17th
- December 18th
- December 22nd
- December 23rd
- December 30th
Note that the water park may also close due to inclement weather, so check the weather before your trip!

At this time, the end of December is the farthest date on the calendar, so there are no other closures currently scheduled for 2025. When it comes to visiting Universal Orlando, it’s important to check the hours for the theme parks for each day of your visit, as they can change from day to day, and we don’t want you to get caught off guard.
