Two tropical storms are likely to form within the next two weeks, with one set to hit Bermuda and one heading towards the East Coast.

If you’re heading to Disney World or a Disney Cruise on the East Coast soon, be sure to stay up-to-date with the latest information before visiting Orlando, Florida.
Tropical Storms Humberto and Imelda could potentially develop into hurricanes, bringing additional rain to areas along the East Coast. The graphic below, from the National Hurricane Center, shows that areas in red have a high chance of storm development.

According to the National Hurricane Center, the tropical waves are still several hundred miles east of the Leeward Islands, with the wave possibly developing on late Wednesday or Thursday, and could strengthen to a hurricane affecting Bermuda early next week.

The second tropical wave is expected to bring heavy rainstorms to Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands through Friday. This wave might take longer to develop but is likely to by this weekend somehwere close to the Bahamas.
While there is still considerable uncertainty surrounding these developments, some reports indicate that the system will be located near the Western Bahamas and off the Southeast U.S. coast, from Florida to North Carolina, early next week. It could possibly stall offshore or hit landfall on Monday or Tuesday, and it could be either a tropical storm or hurricane at this point.

Even if the storms do not hit land, be prepared for high winds and rain, especially closer to the coast.

One possibility that could occur is the Fujwhara effect, which is where the two systems could get close enough to each other, and the larger system will grab the smaller one and absorb it. Sometimes, the systems just come close before going their own separate ways.
Be sure to stay up to date with local weather channels for the most current information, and continue to follow AllEars for more updates.
