We Just Got a NEW PEEK at the Lakeshore Lodge Resort Construction in Disney World

With all the construction happening across Disney World, we wouldn’t blame you if you forgot that Disney is building a new hotel, too!

Back in 2018, Disney announced that a new hotel would be coming to Disney World in 2027, Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge (formerly known as Reflections – A Disney Lakeside Lodge). We’ve been anxious to see this hotel come to life near Magic Kingdom, so our team has been dedicated to checking on the hotel’s construction progress. Now, we have some new construction photos to share with you!

As we mentioned, this new resort is currently planned to open at some point in 2027. The new resort is located near Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground! When we got a look at it recently, it looks like a lot of progress has been made.

It’s coming along!

We’re starting to see two structures along the shoreline that make up the hotel, and it’s looking great. We just can’t wait to see what it looks like when it’s complete.

Obviously, there are still a lot of cranes up and around the resort. It will be like this for a while!

We got an even closer look, and it looks like every little piece is coming together, even the rooms.

Disney has stated the new resort is “inspired by the majesty of nature and its enduring influence on Disney artists.” In the concept art, it looks like Disney is leaning towards using some beloved woodland characters from the animated classic, Bambi, for the theming.
