JUST ANNOUNCED: ‘Bluey’ Movie Sets Official Release Date

Bluey is coming to the big screen!

BBC Studios and Walt Disney Studios, in partnership with Ludo Studio, just announced the official release date for the highly anticipated Bluey movie — and we’re getting excited!

Bluey: The Movie will be a theatrical release of the popular Disney+ kids’ show that has blown up over the years. It was just announced that the movie will be released in theatres on August 6th, 2027.

The movie will have that same style that all its viewers love, as it’s written and directed by Bluey creator Joe Brumm. The movie is being produced by Ludo Studio in collaboration with BBC Studios, and the film will be produced by Amber Naismith and co-directed by Richard Jeffery (Bluey, Series 1–3).

The actors are back for this fun new adventure, as the film features returning voice talent Melanie Zanetti and David McCormack as Mum (Chilli) and Dad (Bandit).

This will be the first-ever debut of the Emmy and BAFTA Award-winning series on the big screen — and we can’t wait to watch it. Who knows what’s on the horizon for the Heerler family in a full-length feature film!
