The Unspoken Rules Disney Adults Are Following at the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival

The EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival has officially hit Disney World, which means we’re eating our way around the world. Around every corner, we’re finding food booths filled with new and returning favorites, lots of drinks, and an overall aroma of food floating through the air.

As Food & Wine experts, we have some major opinions on what you should get, skip, and everything in between. Let’s chat about all the unspoken rules you should be following when you visit the festival for yourself.

First, we’re sharing tables! Tables during festival time are sparse, and when you’re carrying a bunch of tiny plates, you’re going to be desperate to find a place to sit.

If you can’t find an empty table, don’t hesitate to ask to share. When I was there during the opening day of the festival, people were offering seats to strangers so they could enjoy their food in peace. Some groups talked together, and others just shared the space, so don’t feel obligated to force a conversation if you don’t want to.

Keep in mind that, since there aren’t many tables, once you’re finished eating, it’s extremely helpful to head out and onto the next booth or attraction so you’re not taking a table from someone else. As someone who had plates piled high while trying to find a table, we would all appreciate it if you found somewhere else to take a break.

Finished eating and still want to rest your feet? Finding a quiet spot to relax is another option where the table gets cleared, but you still get to unwind for a bit.

Disney Adults are also not eating at table service or most quick service restaurants. This festival runs till November 22nd and is a very popular one among fans, so why eat at restaurants that are there all year round when you can try limited-time foods?

Don’t fall into the trap of booking that dining reservation or going to your favorite quick service — there are so many foods at the festival that you’ll want to try. If the massive list is overwhelming, we ate the entire festival and pulled out our favorites, so you know where to start.
