Disney fans — we’ve got an update for you! Disney just announced some new details for the upcoming Zootopia 2 film you won’t want to miss!

There are so many new Disney movies to look forward to, including Toy Story 5, Frozen 3, and more. Many people are beyond excited for the new Zootopia film (including us!), and now we’ve got some new details on the upcoming film!
We’re reporting LIVE from the Destination D23 event in Disney World, where Disney just revealed that there are two new cameos in this film — The Bearoness and the EMT Otter! Patrick Warburton will play Mayor Winddancer, and Yvette Nicole Brown as EMT Otter and Bearoness Bear.
Then, Disney showed us the opening scene of the film, which happens to be a chase scene! We weren’t able to film or take photos, so allow us to describe it for you below…

Judy found out that a pit viper was smuggled in to steal a priceless piece of Zootopia history. Nick and Judy head to the gala to find the snake, but he’s not the villain! The book he was smuggled in to steal has information that could change the way the world sees snakes. Nick and Judy help the snake escape and then become wanted fugitives, but they have to get to the bottom of the big secret.

We then got to see Nibbles, a reptile expert and conspiracy theorist, and our heroes enter a rusty ship filled with reptiles that’s more dangerous than they thought. As it turns out, the secret in the book is so important that the villains committed a murder to keep it a secret. Then the book is swiped, and a police chase ensues! A water snake hops from boat to boat as hippo cops chased them, and a hungry, hungry hippo joke was even made that the audience loved! Nick tries to keep Judy safe as she pursues the snake. Finally, she jumped after the snake into a tube labeled “red line,” and Nick warns her that she’ll run out of air, but he jumps in after her.

We also got to see an on-stage debut of Clawhauser, who’s a memorable character in the film, as well as a featured character in the new Zootopia: Better Zoogether! show. Disney did not confirm this, but we hope to see him arrive in Animal Kingdom for meet-and-greets around the show’s opening later this year.

The new show ‘Zootopia: Better Zoogether’ will officially be coming to the Tree of Life theater in the winter of 2025! Disney explained that the show will take us on an adventure through different biomes seen in the film.
