This Popular Disneyland Attraction is Being REMOVED From Lightning Lane

Yo-ho, yo-ho, yo-ho, it’s a Disneyland life for us!

Pirates of the Caribbean

Pirates of the Caribbean is one of our favorites on the West Coast and, compared to Disney World, the better version of the attraction to many guests. A temporary change that affected this ride is now being removed, and we’re unsure what to think.

Lightning Lane for Pirates of the Caribbean at Disneyland will no longer be offered starting July 1st. The last day to book a Lightning Lane for the attraction will be June 30th, and after that, the standby queue will be available for everyone.

Were you looking at purchasing Lightning Lane Multi Pass at Disneyland? Here are the attractions you can still grab:

    • Autopia
    • Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
    • Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters
    • Haunted Mansion
    • Indiana Jones Adventure
    • “it’s a small world”
    • Matterhorn Bobsleds
    • Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway
    • Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run
    • Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin
    • Space Mountain
    • Star Tours — The Adventure Continues
    • Tiana’s Bayou Adventure

Don’t worry, you can still board your favorite pirate ship, avoid the splashes of cannon balls, and enjoy two drops. All you’ll need to do is enter the attraction through the standby line.

Disneyland is currently celebrating its 70th anniversary, so if you were looking at booking a trip to Disneyland, now might be a great time. Everything is decorated in bright and bold colors, and tons and tons of special, limited-time snacks to try.

Some attractions are even taking part in the celebration! “it’s a small world” has added a Coco section to Mexico with Dante and Miguel being represented.

Toy Story Mania in Disney California Adventure is having a special overlay with new targets and the 70th logo throughout.

Another way to celebrate this massive achievement is by riding all of the rides that make Disneyland the park we know and love. While Pirates of the Caribbean was not an opening day attraction and opened in 1967, it was the last Disneyland attraction supervised by Walt Disney before his passing.
