There are so many benefits to booking a Disney World hotel, but there are a few rules we live by before booking that dream vacation.

With Early Theme Park Entry, free transportation, and free water park tickets, there is a lot of fun to be had staying at a Disney World hotel. With so many hotels to choose from, how do you pick which one is best for your vacation? We are sharing the rules we live by before booking our Disney hotels.
1. Look into Transportation Options
Before you book a Disney hotel, check into what transportation options they provide to the parks. If you are looking to spend more time at EPCOT or Disney’s Hollywood Studios, you might want to stay at a hotel with access to the Skyliner.

Some resorts also have boats that take you to different parks or even Disney Springs. If you are going to have your vehicle, then you will have more flexibility in traveling around Disney World, and it could open more resort options.

2. Never Book Full Price
Don’t you dare book a Disney hotel room at full price without checking for deals. There is usually some kind of discount that you can apply to your trip. That’s why booking through a travel agent could help save you money!

If you’re looking for a travel agent to help with your vacation, we recommend our friends at Mouse Fan Travel. They’re experts in the field with over 20 years of vacation planning experience, and they can help take a bunch of the stress out of the entire booking process for you!
3. Understand the Layout of the Resort
We like to check the layout of the resort before booking it. If you want to be close to restaurants, transportation, pools, or other amenities, it’s important to know where everything is located. Some resorts have a large footprint and you could end up booking a room pretty far away from those things.

For example, you might want to stay at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort for access to the Skyliner, but there are multiple buildings at this resort, and a few will be a good distance away from the Skyliner station.

4. Checking Restaurant Options
Finally, if you are looking to spend more time enjoying the resort you are staying at, you will want to have restaurant options that you will be excited about. Deluxe and moderate resorts typically offer a variety of quick service and table service restaurants, with a few having character dining meals.

Value resorts offer food courts with a variety of food options in one location. If you are not a foodie or will be spending a limited amount of time at your resort, then that might be perfect for you.
