Did you know that Disneyland is home to an exclusive club?

Club 33 is the iconic club for the rich and famous, available only to a select few. While it’s now available at several spaces in Disney World and Disneyland, the original location is tucked away in New Orleans Square at Disneyland Park. And it has a very particular dress code.
According to the Orange County Register, Club 33 comes with a pretty specific attire requirement for those who want to visit. In fact, some very popular clothing items and accessories are prohibited.

The OC Register says, “Disneyland’s secret and exclusive club won’t let you wear t-shirts, shorts, hooded sweatshirts, Mickey hats or Minnie ears if you want to eat in the main dining room above New Orleans Square.” The Club 33 website states: “Any and all individuals who are not appropriately dressed will not be allowed access to Club 33 venues or Club 33 events.”
So if you’re wearing shorts, a t-shirt, and your Mickey ears, you’re not the type to be let into Club 33…even IF that’s the typical dress code for a Disney theme park!

The Club 33 website also notes that the dress code changes occasionally, so members should check the rules online before their visit. Children ages 10 and older are also required to abide by the dress code, and all children are required to be “appropriately dressed.”

In Le Grand Salon, the dress code is business casual attire or a higher standard of dress due to the fine dining experience that’s offered. In this dining area, the following items are prohibited:
- shorts
- distressed denim
- t-shirts
- tank tops
- crop tops
- undershirts
- hats
- hoodies
- swimsuits
- beach wear
- yoga pants
- athletic clothes
- exposed undergarments
- beach flip flops

If you’re going to Le Salon Nouveau or 1901 Lounge, the dress code is defined as “smart casual.” Here, guests are encouraged to wear “clothing customary of good taste, such as collared shirts, sweaters, tasteful tops and fitted t-shirts, denim jeans, slacks, khakis, walking shorts, dresses, and skirts.”

So if you ever get the chance to visit Club 33, make sure to refer to the club’s website to check the dress code before you visit. You want your apparel to be in fitting with the taste of the experience!
