It’s almost time to celebrate Disney’s FIRST theme park with a BIG party!
In just a few weeks, Disneyland will kick off a massive celebration of the park’s 70th Anniversary (yes, you read that right, 70 YEARS!). According to Disney, the celebration will stretch from May 16th of this year through the summer of 2026, and will allow guests to “honor seven decades of happiness and many moments of joy in the making.” There will be limited-time entertainment, colorful décor, themed food and beverages, collectible merchandise, and so much more! Ahead of the big kick-off, we spotted some NEW additions in Disneyland.
With the launch of the celebration about a week away, special 70th Anniversary decorations are sprouting up across the resort, as we saw during our most recent visit to the “Happiest Place on Earth.”
Starting outside the park, work seems close to complete on the 70th Anniversary art installation on the Esplanade between Disneyland and California Adventure.
The decorations begin at the park’s train station…
… and extends into Town Square…
… and down Main Street.
The special bunting and decorations run all the way down Main Street, U.S.A.
Notice the colored bunting?
The decorations extend to Sleepy Beauty Castle.
In addition to Main Street, there are some 70th decorations around the park, including a wrap on the Monorail…
… and the Golden Horseshoe.
There’s even a special 70th Anniversary popcorn bucket!
