Blizzard Beach is celebrating its 30th anniversary this April!

To celebrate, the water park is throwing a HUGE party on April 1st, with celebrations continuing throughout April with dance parties, special anniversary food and beverage items, and more! And, we officially know when Typhoon Lagoon will be reopening!
Mark your calendars for April 1st because it’s Blizzard Beach’s 30th anniversary! The park is paying tribute to three decades of history with a “high-energy DJ,” fun interactions with Mickey and Minnie, snowman bowling, and character-themed tubes for floating down Cross Country Creek!

Throughout the rest of April, you can expect to see dance parties, specialty food and drinks, and a whole lot more including PRIZES!

And, after you’ve had your fun at Blizzard Beach, you can plan a trip to Typhoon Lagoon — which is reopening on May 1st! And, when it does, you can enjoy:
- The Typhoon Lagoon Surf Pool, which is the largest wave pool in North America. Every wave—big and small—makes this the ideal place to body surf.
- Miss Adventure Falls, the high-octane family raft attraction that always offers thrills for anyone looking for a nautical adventure.
- Crush n’ Gusher, the thrilling “water coaster” that features three 400-foot-long tube slides named for the various fruits they once transported.
- Castaway Creek, the scenic lazy river that encircles the entire water park, offering gentle passage past shady grottoes, gushing waterfalls, overhead rope bridges and lush rainforest.
And plenty more!

Don’t forget that throughout 2025, anyone staying at a Disney World Resort Hotel now gets free water park entry on the day of arrival!
So what does that mean exactly? The day you check in to your Disney World hotel, you don’t have to wait until 3PM to get into your room or spend extra money on theme park tickets. You can head straight to the water park!

This perk is brand new this year, and we think it will help people traveling to the theme parks not feel like a full day of their vacation is being wasted on travel. Guests can use this park at Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach, depending on which one is open at the time. You do not have to check into your hotel before using your water park ticket. You can head straight to the water park!

If you’re looking for a travel agent to help with your vacation, we recommend our friends at Mouse Fan Travel. They’re experts in the field with over 20 years of vacation planning experience, and they can help take a bunch of the stress out of the entire booking process for you!
