The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is expanding at Universal Orlando Resort, and this new addition is gonna be EPIC! Universal Epic Universe is slated to open on May 22nd, 2025, and there is one land we’re especially excited to visit: The Wizarding World of Harry Potter — Ministry of Magic.
In addition to new restaurants and a new attraction, the new Ministry of Magic Land will also use a little bit of magic to make your visit even more interactive. Universal confirmed that there will be new interactive wand experiences, and we finally have a first look at the NEW wands!
Check out the GORGEOUS new wands at Epic Universe! You’ll be able to purchase these new interactive wands at Cosme Acajor Baguettes Magique in Place Cachée. The story goes that the owner of the wand shop, esteemed artisan wandmaker Cosme Acajor, believes the wizard should choose their own wand instead of letting the wand pick the wizard. Universal revealed, “Her unique approach to wandlore and Parisian couture influence come together to create not only a fine wand, but a work of art.”
So, what exactly can you do with your new wand? Well, so far, we know that The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic land will have new interactive wand experiences that allow you to cast spells and interact with fantastic beasts and enchanted objects throughout wizarding Paris.
You’ll be able to use your wand to interact with enchanted objects in storefront windows and enchanted objects throughout Place Cachée. This 1920s wizarding Paris looks like it will be filled with gorgeous details — we can’t wait to see it come alive!
Here’s a peek at the concept art for the new land. Cosme Acajor Baguettes Magique is where you’ll find “some of the world’s finest wands, designed by esteemed artisan and wandmaker Cosme Acajor.”
Oh, and here’s a fun fact! See that chandelier in the concept art above? It was crafted with over eight hundred crystal wands and adorned with brass Pixies. It’s STUNNING!
