After YEARS of Research, There’s Only ONE Solution to Your Worst Disney World Hotel Problem

Alright folks, we’re here to provide answers to an age-old Disney World debate!

Donald Duck

Disney World often presents guests with problems they must figure out such as budgeting, what to do if their favorite ride is closed, or how to simply navigate the massive theme park resort. For most problems, there is a solution. However, one big Disney World problem requires admitting defeat.

Disney World considers “late-night hotel dining” to be dining up until 11 PM at the Disney World resorts. That means, generally, select hotel restaurants and grab-and-go locations will generally serve a specific late-night menu until 11 PM with small goodies that can hold you over in the wee hours of the night.

However, fellow Nite Owls know that 11 PM is child’s play, and often you might find yourself craving some extra-late-night grub.

The obvious rub is that the hotel restaurants, grab-and-go options, and food courts are closed. So what’s the workaround?

Unfortunately, there really is none. You can’t just will a restaurant into being open.

Instead, you’ll need to do one of three things.

Kitchen grab and go station

The first option is to anticipate. Whether you’re bringing your own snacks or loading up on grab-and-go items during the day, it’s not a bad idea to stock up on goodies you can store on your person or in your room during the day in anticipation of getting hungry very late at night.

The second option is to rely on leftovers. Maybe you had a delicious dinner at Disney Springs and got the leftovers to go. That’s always an option granted you got something non-perishable or something that could hold up over time.

The hotel mini-fridge can really come in handy

Finally, if you’re STARVING at the end of the night, your best option might really be a food delivery service like DoorDash. While you’ll be paying premiums for delivery in extra fees, taxes, and tips, DoorDash will still bring food to your hotel. If you’re craving a full meal, you may not have a better option.

According to Disney, “You can usually use food delivery services to order food while staying at a Disney Resorts Collection Hotel. Before ordering, it is important to call down to the Front Desk (or if you’re in the lobby, just ask a friendly Cast Member) to see what the best instructions to give your delivery driver might be. Some hotels will ask you to meet them outside at the entrance, some will accept deliveries at Bell Services, etc. This can change depending on the day, which is why it’s always good to check before placing your order. Just note that your delivery driver will not be able to come directly to your room and for privacy purposes, ” and Disney strongly discourages divulging that information.
