How much are you willing to spend for a great Disney World meal?

Disney World is home to dining options for every budget, but some restaurant price points can be really shocking. Still, when you head over to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, there’s one restaurant that continuously wins everyone over, price points be darned!
One of our favorite restaurants, Hollywood Brown Derby, and, judging by our readers’ reviews, it’s one of yours as well!

This Disney World Signature Restaurant is a replica of the famous Hollywood landmark restaurant and is notable for its Hollywood theming, top-notch service, and delicious food.

The menu offers American cuisine for lunch and dinner, with some highlights including Faroe Island salmon, char-grilled filet of beef, and their famous Cobb salad that follows the recipe created by Bob Cobb, owner of the California Brown Derby. We’re also fans of the tasty cake offerings, such as the Grapefruit Cake.

The prices here are considerably more costly than other theme park offerings, but that hasn’t deterred folks from dining here. Far from it, actually, as getting a reservation isn’t always simple, and advanced dining reservations are recommended.

The prices haven’t completely put off our readers either, as the restaurant holds an admirable 8.19 rating out of 10 with over 100 reviews.
In one of the latest reviews, a user wrote, “Let[‘s] be honest, you’re not coming to the HBD because of its reasonable price point. You[‘re] coming for the good food in an enjoyable atmosphere without a bunch of kids making noise.” The author lauded the menu and service and noted that “if you’re having a meal in DHS [Disney’s Hollywood Studios] this is the place to go!”

Another reviewer mentioned how great this restaurant is for families with picky eaters. “As a family of 6 with some picky eaters and a vegetarian, the Brown Derby has managed to be a hit with all family members and is one that we reserve every time we go to Hollywood Studios! Whenever we have friends or other family in tow, we take them here! The servers have always been friendly and helpful.”

Several reviews mentioned the positives of a seasonal menu and others noted that the price doesn’t seem so bad since the food and service can be better than many other pricey Disney locations.

Another added, “Yes, my husband gasped a little when he saw the bill, but then he proclaimed, ‘Worth it!'”
That seems to be a common sentiment. Yes, the bill will be expensive, but the majority of reviews agree that you get what you pay for in terms of a quality dining experience.

Finding consistent dining at Disney World can be a difficult task, especially with how often restaurant menus like to change. With that said, we’re constantly at the parks, hotels, and Disney Springs, trying anything and everything, so if you’re looking for an outside opinion, be sure to keep up with our latest Disney World reviews!
