BREAKING: Disney World Shares Reopening Details Following Hurricane Milton

Hurricane Milton has moved into the Atlantic Ocean, and teams have been working hard to assess damage and clear debris from the storm.

While Disney World has already announced they will be closed today, October 10th, we just got confirmation of when the parks will be reopening!

Disney World posted an update at 12PM stating that the resort weathered the storm, and they are assessing impacts to their property. The theme parks, Disney Springs, and potentially other areas will be reopening on Friday, October 11th.

All the theme parks, Disney Springs, parking garages, and two hotels (Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground and the Treehouse Villas at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa) are currently closed due to Hurricane Milton. Additionally, Typhoon Lagoon, Fantasia Gardens and Fairways Miniature Golf, and Winter Summerland Miniature Golf are closed.

While it is expected that the theme parks and Disney Springs will reopen tomorrow, October 11th, Disney has not announced a reopening date for Fort Wilderness Resort and the Treehouse Villas. Currently Typhoon Lagoon, Fantasia Gardens, and Winter Summerland Miniature Golf are closed through October 10th.

Universal Orlando has also announced that they will be reopening with normal operations on October 11th, including their theme parks, Universal CityWalk, and Halloween Horror Nights.
