There are so many perks when you decide to stay at a Disney World hotel during your vacation.

Not only are you closer to the magic and immersed in the Disney bubble, but there are also extra perks that hotel guests get to take advantage of. Disney World hotel guests get to take free transportation all around the resort. This includes Monorails, buses, watercraft, and even the Skyliner. This can make getting around so much easier, as you do not have to worry about navigating the resort by yourself. Those staying at Disney World Deluxe hotels can also get extra time in the parks at night with Extended Evening Hours, and it was just confirmed that both Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios will be joining the lineup of parks included in this perk later this year. There is one perk that all hotel guests, regardless of hotel tier, can take advantage of.
While Extended Evening Hours are only offered to those staying at Deluxe Resorts and other participating hotels, Early Theme Park Entry is offered to all guests whether they are staying at a Value, Moderate, or Deluxe Resort.Â
The New Disney World Hotel Perk

Early Theme Park Entry allows Disney World hotel guests to enter each of the four parks 30 minutes before the park officially opens to the general public, meaning you get to beat the rope drop crowds. Well, in hindsight, that is how this perk is supposed to work.Â

Everyone arrives at the park in the morning at a similar time, regardless of whether they are Disney World hotel guests or not. There are those trying to partake in Early Theme Park Entry and those who are there to rope drop when the park officially opens. Due to this, the park can get extremely crowded.Â

This is bad news for those who want to enter the park during Early Theme Park Entry because it can take longer to get to the park, longer to get through security, and then you need to push through the crowd to scan in for Early Theme Park Entry. Once you are scanned in, it can be a mad dash for more popular attractions like Seven Dwarfs Mine Train in Magic Kingdom or Slinky Dog Dash in Hollywood Studios.

While this perk does allow you to get in line and ride attractions before the general public, you have to wake up earlier to ensure you are able to get to the park on time to take full advantage of the extra 30 minutes.Â

We totally understand wanting to take advantage of extra park time, but if we are staying at a Deluxe Resort, you will catch us during Extended Evening Hours instead.Â
