NEW Songs Revealed for Country Bear Jamboree Retheme at Disney World!

Disney is making some big changes to an opening day attraction in Magic Kingdom…but we’re actually pretty excited for them!

Country Bear Jamboree opened with the park in 1971, however, Disney closed it earlier this year to make some changes to the show. We’ve been anxiously waiting for new details and thanks to a new episode of We Call It Imagineering, we have some!

Yes, the characters are getting new outfits and there will be some name changes…but one of the biggest differences will be the songs! We already heard a bit of the Country Bears’ version of “Bare Necessities” from The Jungle Book, but now we know two more songs that will be featured in the show! This is your official spoiler alert if you want to be surprised by the show.

The first song is “A Whole New World” from Aladdin! Add this to the list of songs we never thought we’d hear as a country duet.

Recording artists Allison Russell and Christopher Scott Thile lent their voices to this new rendition of the song that will be featured in the show. We don’t know about you, but we can’t wait to see this with the bears!

The second song is “Try Everything” from Zootopia! A movie all about animals only makes sense to feature in a show all about bears…so this seems like a natural choice.

Country singer Emily Ann Roberts provides the vocals for this one. Here’s a look at her recording the song in Nashville!

Each song in the show will be in a different style of country music. The creative team behind the show carefully picked Disney songs and styles. There will be even more Disney songs in the show and we can’t wait to learn what they are!

Recently, Disney gave us a look at some of the new outfits for Bubbles, Bunny, and Beulah. People seemed to respond well and were on board with “shapewear for bears!”

There is currently no opening date for the new Country Bear Jamboree show, but we’ll let you know the second Disney announces it, so stay tuned. Currently, it is set to debut sometime this summer! If you want to check out a new Disney World attraction before that, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will open on June 28th and CommuniCore Hall and Plaza will open in EPCOT on June 10th.
