NEWS: A NEW Hotel Opened Next to Universal Orlando

But what if you’re looking for a hotel near Universal Orlando? Well, check out this brand NEW hotel that is celebrating its grand opening!

It’s official. What was once the Crowne Plaza Universal has reopened as Hotel Landy. It’s a 14-story hotel located at 7800 Universal Blvd. For reference, that’s right in the middle of some of Orlando’s most popular attractions, restaurants, and theme parks!

This hotel (which is available to Marriott Bonvoy members as part of the Tribute Portfolio) has 400 guest rooms, per GrowthSpotter. Guests can choose from a standard or premium double queen and king room or opt for a junior or presidential suite. The rooms are also pet-friendly.

According to Hotel Landy, the hotel space is inspired by “the groundbreaking spirit of Émilie du Châtelet, a mathematician whose work led to the development of roller coasters.” The rooms sleep a maximum of four people, and each room is full of “kinetic details” that pay tribute to the hotel’s inspiration.

Feeling hungry? Check out the Liquid Sunshine food truck, the ORLY’S Market, or the Émilie Bar + Lounge — all located right in the hotel. Of course, you can also dine nearby at one of Orlando’s theme parks or Disney Springs shopping area.

Speaking of things to do, you can also explore the “funergetic” games room, which includes arcade games, sudoku walls, action games, and a comfortable seating area.
