Update: According to The Hollywood Reporter, a Harry Potter TV series is coming to Max (the streaming series once known as HBO Max). It’ll be a live-action TV series. See more about it below.
Alright Harry Potter fans, we’ve got news for you.

We just recently rated the Harry Potter films by their fashion choices, and there’s a new wand you can get for a limited time in Universal Orlando‘s Wizarding World of Harry Potter. However, there’s a new HUGE news drop that just happened that you don’t want to miss.
According to Deadline, the possibility of a Harry Potter TV show is moving closer to becoming a reality. It’s just got one last hurdle — to be approved by creator J.K. Rowling.

Warner Brothers is currently in talks with Rowling to be a producer on the TV series being pitched. If she comes on board, the show would begin looking for writers.

The current idea for the series is to turn each book into one season of the show, together making seven seasons. The series would be produced by Warner Bros Television and appear on HBOMax.

The idea of a series is very controversial among fans. Some don’t want to see them remade, while others believe seeing an updated version as a TV show would be entertaining.
Update: According to The Hollywood Reporter, a Harry Potter TV series is coming to Max (the streaming series once known as HBO Max). It’ll be a live-action TV series.
The series is described as follows: “The stories from each of Rowling’s Harry Potter books will become a decade-long series produced with the same epic craft, love and care this global franchise is known for. The series will feature a new cast to lead a new generation of fandom, full of the fantastic detail, much loved characters and dramatic locations that Harry Potter fans have loved for over 25 years. Each season will be authentic to the original books and bring Harry Potter and these incredible adventures to new audiences around the world, while the original, classic and beloved films will remain at the core of the franchise and available to watch globally.”
