Complimenting A Cast Member Just Got Easier In Disneyland!

Cast Members are as much a part of the magic as Disney Parks themselves.

Cast Members often go out of their way to make guests’ trips to the parks extra special, which is why we always encourage complimenting any cast members you come across that go that extra mile. Now, there’s an easier way to do that in Disneyland!

Although you can leave a Cast Member compliment on social media with the #CastCompliment tag, Disney World made the process easier last year by adding a Cast Compliment feature to the My Disney Experience app. Now, that same feature has made its way to the Disneyland app!

To access the Cast Compliment feature, search for “Cast Compliment” in the Disneyland app.

Click on that and you’ll get the Cast Compliments form, where you can select what you’re saying “Thanks” for and the location of the Cast Member you’re complimenting.

If you have the Cast Member’s name, scroll down to “Optional” and you’ll see where you can put in the CM’s first name and/or the hometown listed on their name tag. You can also note the date for the interaction you’re referring to. Click “Submit” when you’re done!

This is a great way to make magic for those who make magic for guests! So if you have a great interaction with a Cast Member, be sure to let Disney know!

Some Cast Members will even wear Mickey gloves to greet guests!

No matter how you send it, the Cast Member will certainly appreciate your compliments. We also highly recommend using basic etiquette and saying “Thank you” to Cast Members when you interact with them. A small “thank you” can go a long way!
