NEWS: You Might Be Able to Stream 'Doctor Who' on Disney+

There is so much to see on Disney+, and they’re just getting started!

The platform is home to Disney classics from over the years, as well as original content like their successful Star Wars and Marvel shows. There have been a ton of Disney announcements lately, including a casting update for the upcoming Star Wars series, The Acolyte, a sneak peek at the new National Treasure series coming to Disney+, and tons of announcements from San Diego Comic-Con! Now, this show with a huge impact is looking to make a deal with Disney+!

Disney is in talks to stream Doctor Who on Disney+! Disney is in discussion with The BBC over streaming rights for the show, according to Bloomberg. They’re still in early stages of these talks, and there’s no telling what Disney will decide to do, but the show would potentially stream globally on Disney+ while continuing to be broadcast on BBC.

Doctor Who originally aired in 1963, and has been running ever since. The show follows a time traveling character called the Doctor, who has been played by many different actors over the years. Recently, Ncuti Gatwa, a Rwandan born Scottish actor, was cast in the role, making him the first Black Doctor in the series.
