It’s been over two years since Disney introduced Disney+ in fall 2019.
The platform has grown immensely and is about to reach even further this summer. Disney+ is the go-to streaming service for Disney Classics, Star Wars, Marvel, and more! Throughout the year, Disney updates us on how many subscribers the platform has, so let’s see what those numbers are looking like for the beginning of 2022!
In October, we got the final quarterly update on Disney+ subscribers for 2021, and they reported 118.1 million subscribers. Since then, the total number of subscribers has increased!
Disney reported that its Disney+ streaming service now has 129.8 million subscribers.
Since the last update, Disney has gained 11.8 million Disney+ subscribers and now boasts 196.4 million subscriptions across all Disney-owned streaming platforms.
In 2022, Disney is set to release dozens of new original content, which could draw more subscribers to join Disney+ in the future.
