SeaWorld’s newest roller coaster, Ice Breaker, was originally set to open back in spring 2020, but it was delayed after the park closed due to the COVID-19 global pandemic. We’ve been keeping track of the construction progress on the new ride and now we have an official opening date!

SeaWorld Orlando has announced that Ice Breaker will open for all guests on February 18th, 2022!

The new attraction will be the park’s first launch coaster and feature four “airtime filled launches” going backward and forward and ending with a reverse launch into “the steepest beyond vertical drop in Florida.” What exactly does that entail? Well, it’s a 93-foot spike at a 100-degree angle.

You can get a preview of all the thrills in the video below!

Ice Breaker will be located across from Wild Arctic and Pass Members will be able to take advantage of special preview events between January 30th and February 15th — just check your email for updates!
