Turn Yourself Into a Character from Disney’s Haunted Mansion for a Limited Time!

Love The Haunted Mansion? There are lots of fantastic characters featured in this iconic ride, but some of the most popular are those singing busts!

We’ve seen merchandise themed to these busts, and even a nod made to them in the Muppets Haunted Mansion special. But, what if you could take things to the next level? What if you could transform yourself into a singing bust with just the tap of a button? Well, now you can!

Right now, for a limited time, you can use a special AR filter on Instagram to turn yourself into one of the singing busts from the Haunted Mansion! And yes, the one and only Molly tried it out and shared some shots of her time as one of the Haunted Mansion’s residents.

There are 2 different bust designs you can pop your face into — a more standard suit design…

…and another version featuring a character with some seriously dolled up hair!

Here’s a step-by-step guide to transforming yourself into a singing bust. First, you’ll want to head to the Instagram app on your mobile device. Next, you’ll want to go to the Walt Disney World Instagram account.

When you’re there, tap on the icon that shows 3 stars. 

That’s where you’ll find a variety of special effects you can use, including the Haunted Mansion one. Tap on the Haunted Mansion one…

…and you should be taken to a page that looks like the photo below. Then, you can tap “Try it” to take some photos and videos using the special effect! Yes, you can take a video too and yes the Haunted Mansion music is playing in the background so you can sing along! To switch between the bust designs, simply tap the singing bust.

Once you’ve tried the effect and snapped all the photos and videos you want, you can save the effect, send it to your friends, and more.

Remember the effect will only be around for a limited time, so be sure to try it while you can. Happy (early) Halloween!
