Earlier today, California Health Official recommended that travelers “reconsider” trips to Florida amid rising cases of COVID-19.

Now, it looks like certain counties in the state are beginning to take measures a step further and reimplement certain face mask mandates.
Reporter Claudia Peschiutta from KNX 1070 News Radio shared the news on Twitter that beginning at 11:59PM on Saturday, June 17th, Los Angeles County will require masking indoors, regardless of vaccination status.

This takes measures a step further than Orange County, Florida, where Mayor Jerry Demings recommended that residents resume wearing face coverings indoors.

According to Orange County Register, Los Angeles County has reported “over 1,000 new cases a day over the last seven days,” with the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention categorizing the county’s rates as having “substantial transmission.”

We’ll continue to monitor these developments and we will let you know as soon as we know more, including how this will impact Universal Studios Hollywood in the coming days and weeks.
