And, whether you’re a Florida resident or an out-of-state visitor, you’re going to want to know about a huge event taking place next month!

WESH 2 News has reported that Florida Governor Ron DeSantis will put in place a week-long tax holiday for live events, movies, museums, outdoor recreation events, use or access to private membership clubs with physical fitness facilities, and MORE!

The seven-day tax holiday called “Freedom Week” will begin on the week of July 4th. DeSantis noted that, “We are proud of being a free state, we’re proud of being open. We want tax payers to be able to benefit if they’re participating in all these things.”

Freedom Week will exempt sales tax on admission to events scheduled between July 1st and December 31, 2021. Plus, during the week of July 4th, there also won’t be taxes on state parks, museums, boating or camping supplies, and general outdoor and sports supplies, among the other events noted above. This includes the purchase of annual passes and season tickets.
