Splash Mountain has been the focus of attention for the past several weeks! Starting with the historic announcement that the ride would be re-themed to Princess and the Frog, the ride has also seen massive lines at its gift shop as well as an unannounced temporary closure.

Over the weekend, the Magic Kingdom attraction once again drew focus as guests reported that their boat filled up with water while on-ride.
According to MyNews13, a Disney spokesperson commented that the incident involved five guests, who were all able to exit the ride vehicle safely when the incident occurred.

A video surfaced on Twitter on August 2nd, showing one of the Splash Mountain ride vehicles submerged under water. The video quickly made its way around social media. Another guest who was on the vehicle at the time replied with additional photos, showing their feet submerged under water before exiting, and the vehicle submerged under water once they were out.
