‘Avatar 2’ Debuts First Concept Art — and We’re So Ready to Go Back to Pandora!

It’s hard to believe it’s been over a decade since Avatar came out!

Then again, perhaps it feels so much shorter because we’ve gotten so much Avatar content in the parks thanks to the opening of Pandora – The World of Avatar in Animal Kingdom! Nevertheless, Avatar fans have a lot to look forward to in the coming years, starting with the sequel to the film slated to hit screens in December 2021. And today, our excitement for the next installment of the series was really piqued as 20th Century Fox shared a sneak preview at some concept art for Avatar 2! The Avatar Twitter account debuted four new images of concept art, and it truly looks breathtaking!

If you’ve ridden Flight of Passage at Pandora – The World of Avatar in Animal Kingdom, then the settings pictured in these pieces of concept art likely look very familiar!

The lagoons and the banshees riding over them is giving us some serious deja-vu! It certainly seems likely that the movie will give us a little more background on some of the locations featured in the ride.

The concept art truly is ethereal and beautiful and has us intrigued to learn more about the upcoming film.
