Start Planning Now! D23’s Full Lineup of Events for 2020 Includes Studio Tours, Film Screenings, and More!

The D23 Expo is by far the biggest event put on by the Official Disney Fanclub, but D23 has events year-round for members and beyond.

Well, D23 has just released their events roster for 2020 and it contains some returning favorites as well as a variety of new experiences! Read on to find out the full 2020 lineup.

With events from coast to coast, D23 members have a full year ahead of them.

The Official Walt Disney Studios Tour — Presented by D23

First off, D23 announced The Official Walt Disney Studios Tour would be returning. Last year, the club introduced a monthly tour of the historic studios in Burbank, CA and with resounding popularity, the gold member-exclusive tour is back. Attendees will get a peek inside the Walt Disney archives and even Walt’s office.

Advance Screenings of New Films

D23 members will also be treated to early screenings of new films in 2020. For instance, in 2019 members could see Toy Story 4 and Maleficent: Mistress of Evil in advance. Similar opportunities will be released in the next year.

Signature Events

D23 Members can take part in a bunch of classic events like Disney California Adventure Food & Wine, Epcot Food & Wine, a new Halloween event and more. Members can especially lookout for events around the country where they can meet Disney legends and luminaries.

D23 Destination D: Fantastic Worlds

November 20-22, 2020, Destination D will be returning to Walt Disney World to celebrate the history and magic of Disney places. This special event takes place at Walt Disney World every other year and is extremely popular.

Mickey’s of Glendale

Mickey’s of Glendale, an exclusive pop-up shop for members, will have shopping days and events throughout the year as well. Mickey’s of Glendale is known as the exclusive Disney Imagineering merchandise shop.

D23 Celebrates 50 Years of the Walt Disney Archives

The Disney Archives is curating a 50 piece collection for its 50th anniversary to be displayed at Destination D, but that’s not the only way that members can celebrate the archives’ anniversary.  Inside the Walt Disney Archives: 50 Years of Preserving the Magic and a Special Birthday Party for the Archives will take place at Bowers Museum in Santa Ana, CA.

Walt’s Marceline

D23 is hosting a special day dedicated to Walt’s hometown of Marceline, Missouri. Members will be able to see the street that inspired Main Street U.S.A., explore the Walt Disney Hometown Museum, and more.

Private Movie Screenings at the Disney Studios Lot, Disney Springs, and More

In celebration of different film anniversaries next year, like A Goofy Movie, D23 will host private screenings at the Walt Disney Studios Lot, in Disney Springs, and on the road in cities around the country.

Member Meet-Ups

And lastly, the club will be offering their usual Member Mixers to cities around the country!

So, there’s a lot to do coming from D23 in the next year. The Official Walt Disney Fan Club has some great offerings for die-hard Disney fans!
