It’s beginning to look A LOT like Christmas all over the Walt Disney World Resort — and that includes the Resorts! We’ve been checking out gingerbread creations across the World, including the brand new display at Wilderness Lodge!

And now it’s time to head over to check out one of our favorite displays. It’s over in the Epcot Resort area, and let’s just say it’s been going ’round and ’round for two decades!
Each year for the past 20 years, Disney’s Beach Club Resort has unveiled a newly-themed gingerbread carousel for the holidays. We loved last year’s Donald Duck-themed house, but this year the display has been sprinkled with pixie dust!
We’re off to Neverland with this year’s Peter Pan-themed Gingerbread Carousel (which also happens to feature 20 Hidden Mickeys). As is the case from year to year, the horses on the Gingerbread Carousel each embody a specific character.
The Smee horse wears his iconic red hat and stripes.

The detailing on the Peter Pan horse is breathtaking; we love the deep green and the red accents.

Peter’s signature feathered hat and the horse’s textured hair are so impressive up close. It must have taken a lot of faith, trust, and pixie dust to create this masterpiece (or maybe just a ton of sugar and skill).

You can’t miss the wings on the Tinker Bell horse, and we love her tinkering supplies on the saddle! Such a great detail.

The Captain Hook horse got a ton of thoughtful details, including a skull on the headpiece, a sword, and even a hook instead of a hoof on the front left leg!

A structure of this detail requires a ton of ingredients, and even though we see this kind of information every year, it’s still mind-blowing. Three hundred pounds of flour! One hundred pounds of eggs! Two hundred gum paste flowers! The skill is really remarkable.

Of course, if you arrived in Neverland with an appetite, there’s a selection of holiday offerings at the gingerbread snack counter.

Fancy a Gingerbread cookie? This one is free of allergens and crafted by the chefs at Erin McKenna’s Bakery (you’ll find this in Disney Springs if you’re on the hunt for safe eats!).

How about some peppermint bark? This is packed to travel if you want a great, edible souvenir!

Thirsty for more? There’s also a hot chocolate bar. Yes, please!

Enjoy classic hot chocolate made with Ghirardelli or get creative with the unlimited toppings bar.

You can also celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Beach Club Gingerbread Carousel with exclusive merchandise. We spotted this Christmas tree ornament that looks like a peppermint candy!

How about a commemorative pin?

We also found these exclusive commemorative mugs.

If you are lucky enough to spend the holiday season in Walt Disney World, we highly encourage a visit to the gingerbread carousel at Disney’s Beach Club Resort. It’s so festive and a true work of art.
