Disney Just Dropped HUGE NEWS About the 2026 D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event

We feel like Destination D23 just happened, but it’s hard to believe it was over six months ago! Now we’re looking forward to D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event for 2026 and all the incredible announcements and panels that come around with it.

This year, D23 is happening in Anaheim, California, from August 14th to 16th and is THE Ultimate Disney Fan Event. This is where Disney makes some of its biggest announcements of the year for its movies and parks, and we’re just so thrilled to see what’s happening in 2026. Disney just gave us a new look at what to expect for 2026, and y’all, we’re READY!

Tickets

D23 Gold Charter Members will be able to buy tickets as early as March 31st at 10 AM PT. Meanwhile, tickets for D23 Gold Members on Essential, Choice, and Complete Plans will be able to buy tickets on April 2nd at 10 AM PT, while those who received a complimentary D23 Gold membership through Disney+ will be able to buy tickets on April 2nd at Noon PT. Each Gold Member may purchase tickets for themselves and up to five guests.

Ticket prices have also been released. Ticket prices start at $49 for a 1-day pass to $2,599 for the D23 Ultimate Preferred Fan Pass with seats at the Honda Center on floors 101-103.

The afternoon-only pass is a brand new type of pass this year! It’s the most limited in time, but it’s also the most affordable.

Disney also released a chart showing what each ticket type will get you.

So you’ll want to study all those details to decide which tickets are best for you.

Disney also announced the 2026 Disney Legend honorees. This year’s list includes:

These new Disney Legends will be honored at the D23 event.

Event Schedule

Disney also gave us an idea of the schedule of events that will take place throughout D23. On August 13th, a Disney Legends Cavalcade will take place at Disneyland, including a giveaway of complimentary Mickey ear hats, a “magical surprise,” and more. The Disney Jr. Play! Party will also return for a one-day special event at Disney California Adventure.

The Anaheim Convention Center will be host to more than 50 panels and presentations for attendees, including the returning D23 Mousequerade: The Ultimate Disney Costume Contest presented by AT&T. Fans will also get a chance to see the premiere of a new feature-length documentary from Leslie Iwerks.

The show floor will bring back some fan-favorite experiences to give fans a chance to “get up close with the latest from Disney Experiences and Walt Disney Imagineering; dive into the worlds of Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and National Geographic; experience favorite movies and series with Disney+ and Hulu; and explore the very best of Disney shopping, products, and more.“

A new experience will also be available, Mundo Pixar: The D23 Experience presented by Disney Rewards Visa Cards from Chase. This will give fans a special preview of the immersive walk-through experience touring all over the world, including life-size sets from Pixar movies, activations inspired by Bluey, a display with Mickey F1 and a Formula car, and more.

Lorcana fans will also be able to get in on the Disney Lorcana Challenge Championship Qualifier, where the winner will get a guaranteed seat at the 2027 Disney Lorcana North American Championship.

A new exhibition is also coming to the show floor, Walt Disney Archives: Uncrated. This will give a chance to explore “hemed displays featuring shipments of iconic props, costumes, and puppets from some beloved films, television series, and theme parks, which span generations of history at The Walt Disney Company.”

Fans will also have a chance to enter The Ultimate Disney Sweepstakes: Fantastic Prizes, including a cruise on Disney Cruise Line’s newest ship, the Disney Believe, a National Geographic Journeys with G Adventures trip, and a 3-day, 2-night trip to Los Angeles to attend the red-carpet world premiere of Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Doomsday.

Other prizes will be announced closer to the event.

Anaheim Celebrations

The City of Anaheim will also be celebrating D23, starting on August 8th with the opening of the newest exhibition by the Walt Disney Archives at the Muzeo Museum and Cultural Center. The exhibition is called “Capturing Life, Creating Character: The Art of Live‑Action” and will feature photos, costume pieces, artwork, and more. Tickets will go on sale for the exhibition on March 27th.

On August 11th, there will be D23 Night at the Anaheim Packing District with music, trivia, fan activities, and the sixth annual World Taste of the Packing District. On August 12th, fans can attend D23 Night at Angel Stadium. Throughout the week, you’ll find special offers, discounts, and themed fun in Downtown Disney.
