The 2 Worst Things We Ate in Disney World Last Month

We get to be in Disney World every day, which is tons of fun, don’t get us wrong, especially when we get to try some delicious snacks around the parks and resorts!

However, we’ll also be the first to admit that, unfortunately, not every snack or meal is a winner. Even if we go to some of our favorite spots, ones that rarely let us down, we do sometimes get a bad egg, and that happened for us TWICE last month!

Starting over in Disney Springs, we’re big fans of eet by Maneet Chauhan, and often get to try menu offerings there that totally blow our minds! However, this month we tried their new Chana Masala Nachos for $14.95, and we’ll be honest…we were NOT a fan. These are made with Tri-colored tortilla chips tossed in the restaurant’s signature Bubble’s seasoning, layered with Chickpea Chole, drizzled with Raita, Tamarind, and Mint Chutneys, and then finished with fresh Kachumber, Crispy Boondi, Cilantro, and a bit of Chaat Masala.

The issue with these is, just like you may have guessed from the description, there is SO much going on, and not in a good way. The red sauce overpowered everything and didn’t pair well with the chips at all — it only added salt and spice. All the sauces here are strong, spicy, and salty, and we feel that even someone who enjoys strong spice would be overwhelmed here. For us, there was no flavor other than spice, which just wasn’t interesting in the slightest.

We wouldn’t get it again

We also headed over to the Hollywood Brown Derby in Disney’s Hollywood Studios and were NOT fans of the Beet and Kale Salad. This is $13 and made with Spinach, Warm Bacon Vinaigrette, Goat Cheese Cream, Beet Purée, Candied Walnut.

Beet and Kale Salad

We won’t lie, this basically tasted like dirt to us. It’s EXTREMELY earthy, and really didn’t have any other flavors to help break that up. The dressing here is sweet, so it very lightly counteracts it, but there’s not enough of it to really balance it out. It was overall very bitter, and we really couldn’t stomach more than a few bites. Not to mention, everything was VERY large, and it was difficult to cut it up into smaller bites.

We were NOT fans

The Hollywood Brown Derby is usually a spot that impresses us, especially since it’s such an expensive meal, but this time around? It just didn’t hit the spot for us, unfortunately.
