We Get Asked About This Disney World Essential Constantly, So Here Are All the Deets

Having soggy shoes and socks in Disney World is one of the worst things to experience, because it often leads to blisters (water blisters OR regular ones), cold feet (literally), and let’s be real — no one wants to walk around in wet shoes.

Silicone Waterproof Shoe Covers

While we often say bringing an extra pair of socks into the parks with you in case of rain is a good idea, that often doesn’t fix the problem of having wet shoes. When we saw there were shoe covers on the market, we’ll be honest — we thought they were pretty dumb and wouldn’t work at all. Looking at the Silicone Waterproof Shoe Covers at first glance, we thought they would be super flimsy and do a pretty terrible job keeping water out of our shoes and socks. We do feel it’s best to size up if you’re in between sizes to ensure the zipper can go all the way up (as that’s what’s really going to keep your feet dry) and you won’t feel any discomfort from the zipper itself. These also work best if you’re walking WITH the rain instead of against it, as then it would roll down our legs and get in a bit, but it was still worlds better than what we would have dealt with without them.

This is also true if you know that you, or someone in your party, struggles with the sensory aspect of wet shoes and socks; these are invaluable.
