It seems like everyone on the internet today is congratulating D’Amaro on this massive achievement after his many years at the company. One person in particular left a congratulations we can’t help but share.

Former CEO, Michael Eisner, posted an X message saying:

“Congratulations to Jodh D’Amaro for becoming the CEO of the Walt Disney Company, and congratulations to Chairman James Gorman for making such a wise pick as well as promoting Dana Walden to President and Chief Creative Officer. My advice to Jodh is to continue Bob Iger’s strategy that creativity will handle profits, always protect the brand, and keep close to the world of Walt Disney: ‘We love to entertain kings and queens, but the vital thing to remember is this — every guest receives the VIP treatment.’ Good luck.”

Eisner was the CEO from 1984 to 2005 and helped with so many facets of the Disney Company, including the Renaissance era for Disney movies. He started Disney Stores and the Disney Cruise Line, along with Downtown Disney and Pleasure Island (now known as Disney Springs).

He also approved attractions like Splash Mountain, Star Tours, Indiana Jones, and was the force behind Disney MGM Studios (now Hollywood Studios), Animal Kingdom, Disney California Adventure, and Hong Kong Disneyland. Eisner also worked closely on Disneyland Paris, which was a major part of his career. Many parts of the parks you know and love today were greenlit by Eisner.

We’re glad to see Eisner share these kind words. Make sure you keep following AllEars for more Disney news!
