This NEW Movie Announcement Is Gonna Make Gen Z Disney Fans LOSE IT

Every Gen Z Disney fan is familiar with the iconic show Phineas & Ferb. The Disney Channel show follows preteen brothers Phineas and Ferb as they spend their summer vacation building roller coasters, ant hills, and tropical islands all in their backyard. Meanwhile, older sister Candace goes to ridiculous lengths to bust their remarkable engineering skills.

Phineas & Ferb is one of Disney Channel’s most popular franchises, with five television seasons, two movies, a strong presence in the Disney Parks, video games, and even a live touring show. So when we saw Variety’s report on a new Phineas & Ferb movie, we were jumping for joy.

The 2007 show only ran for four seasons, but was one of the most popular Disney Channel shows at the time. It even spawned a movie in 2011, Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Across the 2nd Dimension. A second movie, Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Candace Against the Universe, was released on Disney+ in 2020. Then the original Phineas & Ferb show was rebooted in 2025 and became one of Disney+’s most-watched shows of the summer.

The third movie will be a time-warp adventure, where villain Dr. Doofenshmirtz erases the moment Phineas’ mom meets Ferb’s dad, and the two are no longer stepbrothers. The boys and their friends have to restore their original timeline before it’s too late! Co-creators Dan Povenmire and Jeff “Swampy” Marsh have stated that the film will explore the city of Danville, centering on family and unconditional love.

We don’t have a production timeline yet, but we do know that most of the original cast will be returning for the movie, including Vincent Martella as Phineas, David Errigo Jr. as Ferb, and Ashley Tisdale as Candace. While we’re waiting on the movie, five new episodes of Phineas & Ferb are streaming on Disney+. There’s also a new eight-episode short series, Agent P Under C, where Perry the Platypus goes on an undercover mission as his spy alias Agent P. I know what we’re gonna do today!
