I don’t want to make too bold a statement, but my life is on the cusp of changing.

If you didn’t know, a Dracula theme park is in the works, and I am something of a Dracula aficionado. Thanks to Epic Universe’s new land, Dark Universe, I’ve gotten to be around him a lot in 2025. Now, an entire theme park might be dedicated to my favorite literary character of all time? Somebody (specifically Dracula) bite me!
Believe it or not, Dracula Land is in development! According to the company’s website, the theme park is intended to be “Europe’s next world-class experiential entertainment destination.” The park has been in development since 2024 and is still in the first phase of planning.

The park is intended to bring the iconic character to life through dining, shopping, attractions, and more. It will be located at A2 Highway, Gherghita, Romania, which is roughly 20 minutes from Bucharest. If built, this will be the world’s first Dracula-themed park, and it will feature 6 different lands.

It’s being created by Chris Lange, former creative director of Europa Park, and will feature over 40 attractions. The lands include Moonlight District, Family Kingdom, Transylvania, Dracula’s Castle, Port of New Orleans, and London Town.

They’re also intending to build an outlet mall, multipurpose arena, racing circuit, and accommodations at the Dracula Grand Hotel and Family Hotel, which will surround the theme park. The website lists the grand opening of the theme park between 2026 and 2027, although it doesn’t detail a specific date.

The theme park is being developed with a “private investment of over €1 billion.” They also claim that current financial estimates are saying that the park will generate “over 5,000 direct and indirect job, a total economic impact estimated at approximately €5 billion over the next decade, and approximately 3 million visitors annually in the first phase.“

Not only will you find these major attractions and dining, but this park will have a multi-purpose event space and race track! The location will offer “motorsport enthusiasts and professionals a world-class racing experience.” They even stated, “from festivals and concerts to volleyball, ice skating, and MMA competitions, the venue delivers an exceptional experience, positioning itself as a year-round destination for both local and international events.”

Dragoș Dobrescu, the founder of the theme park, said this new theme park is about identity. He said, “Dracula Land brings together everything I have learned in real estate: discipline, vision, rigor, and the ability to lead large, diverse teams. But it adds something no previous project has been able to offer: a story that gives meaning to every square meter.” He also said this is more than a project, it is a legacy.

To be honest? My thoughts are that this is a lot and a little hard to believe. Maybe that’s just me being cautiously optimistic! There are several names on the site that pique my interest, so we’ll see where this goes. I remain hopeful as I continue to reread Bram Stoker’s Dracula again and again. As always, be sure to keep following AllEars for more theme park news, updates, and more.

Hmm, so they went with literally the very first name to pop into their heads?
