REVIEW: We Just Tried 2 NEW Disney Snacks…And We Have Thoughts

It’s no secret that Disneyland goes hard on seasonal snacks, and the holiday season is no exception. Not only do you have the Disney Festival of Holidays happening in California Adventure with all its food booths, but you also have a ton of other seasonal food and drinks to choose from.

S’mores Cheesecake

Well, we’ve been making our way around Disneyland to try many of these treats, including two treats that we’re going to review for you right now.

Let’s start in Disneyland Park, where we visited Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe to try the new S’mores Cheesecake which is a Chocolate Cheesecake with Chocolate Ganache, topped with Marshmallow Mousse and a Torched Marshmallow for $7.79. This is a solid piece of cheesecake, but it tasted more like chocolate than anything else, but that chocolate flavor was rich and decadent.

Very chocolatey

The marshmallow flavor from the mousse was almost too light because the chocolate overpowered it. We also didn’t get much of the graham cracker flavor, except for a little bit with the bottom crust. We really think this might have been better if the flavors had been more balanced out, but if you love chocolate, you’ll probably love this.

It just needs more marshmallow and graham cracker flavor

We also made our way over to California Adventure to visit the Snack Cart near Paradise Garden Grill to try the Dulce De Leche Pull Apart Bread for $9.25. This is a sweet treat that should be shared. Between the dulce de leche and pecans, this was very rich and sweet. The main flavor is the sweet caramel with a nutty aftertaste.

Dulce de Leche Pull Apart Bread

Although it was served warm, though, the bread didn’t seem very fresh. That’s a minor complaint, though, because most of the flavor comes from the toppings. We’ll also warn you: this is sticky and messy!

Inside

Overall, both treats are worth your time and money, so if you’re visiting Disneyland soon, be sure to check them out.
