LEGO has released some great Disney sets in the past, but I’m not kidding when I tell you we all breathed a collective nostalgic sigh when I laid eyes on this iconic Pixar set!

Disney Pixar characters have warmed our hearts for decades, but there’s no feeling quite like the first time you started up a Pixar movie and witnessed Luxo Jr. bouncing on the brightly colored Pixar ball.
When I’m not in the parks, I’m filling my time with other Disney-related things. So when the AllEars team spotted a potential challenge for me (Disney style, of course), I just couldn’t pass up the opportunity.

Now, while most of us wouldn’t come close to calling ourselves “Master Builders” of LEGO sets, this is one set I just couldn’t seem to say “no” to. And if you know me, you know I love a challenge. So, it was time to tackle the Pixar Luxo Jr. LEGO set!

Basically, this set is made to resemble Pixar’s iconic Luxo Jr. lamp and ball in LEGO form. It’s a must-have for anyone who loves Pixar or is up for a challenging LEGO set, and you didn’t even have to press us hard to admit it was well worth the money!
While it might seem challenging to build, it actually surprised me! This set is easy to put together with functioning hinges, and it comes with a great display stand. The best part of this build, though, was the Pixar easter eggs inside that you can spot as you’re building it!

For a complicated-looking LEGO set, this one didn’t take too long to build. In total, I spent under two full hours on it from start to finish. My only wish? That it operated as an actual light! The only downside to the whole set was that when it’s set into the display stand, the extra pieces have nowhere to go.

As I said before, this was totally worth the investment, and I could rebuild this set over again! It’s also hard to beat the quality and creativity that goes into creating these LEGO sets, especially one so synonymous with Disney Pixar that the whole family can enjoy. This set checked off all the boxes. When I think of the perfect qualifications of a LEGO set to spend some hard-earned money on, it’s natural to want it to result in something we’re proud to display on a shelf or table, and one we can make little discoveries about while building. Truthfully, the journey here was almost as rewarding as the destination!
In the meantime, we’ll be keeping an eye out for the latest Disney deals, so make sure you stay tuned to AllEars for more!
