The Shoe Rule Cast Members Are Enforcing at 9 Disney World Restaurants

Did you know there are rules on what you should be wearing at signature dining restaurants at Disney World?!

Disney World indeed has official guidelines for signature dining restaurants, and not many guests are aware of that. So we’re here to not only tell you what you may need to wear, but give you some options on Amazon that we like!

Disney World’s signature dining restaurants are often defined by their upscale and pricier menus, with entrees often starting at $35 or more. These restaurants specifically require a dress code:

Disney says that men should wear khakis, slacks, or dress shorts with a collared shirt. Jeans are acceptable if they’re in good condition. Sport coats are optional but welcome. Women should wear capri pants, skirts, dresses, or dress shorts. Again, jeans are allowed as long as they’re not excessively ripped or distressed.

Yes, you need to watch what you wear on your feet, too! Flip flops are not permitted. One of our team members was stopped while wearing wedges with a strap between their toes and had to buy new shoes!

In addition to that, swimsuits, swimsuit cover-ups, cut-off shorts, torn clothing, and t-shirts with offensive language or images are not allowed.

This typically applies to restaurants outside of the theme parks (with the exception of a couple of places in EPCOT), because Disney knows you can’t walk around the parks in heels or a fancy dress all day.
