A MASSIVE Disney Reveal Just Broke the Internet

Everybody, stay calm…we’re heading back to camp!

Disney has officially greenlit Camp Rock 3, and it’s going to see the return of the Jonas Brothers reprising their roles. Fans (including us!) are freaking out right now, so let’s take a look at all the details!

Yes, Camp Rock fans, it’s official! It was confirmed that the third installment of the iconic franchise has been greenlit for Disney+ and Disney Channel. The movie will star Joe, Nick, and Kevin Jonas, who will all be returning. That’s not the only returnee, as Demi Lovato will be the movie’s executive producer, along with the Jonas brothers.

The film will see new cast members joining the crew, including Liamani Segura (Descendants: Wicked Wonderland) as Sage, Malachi Barton (Zombies 4: Dawn of the Vampires) as Fletch, Lumi Pollack (Electric Bloom) as  Rosie, Hudson Stone as Desi, Casey Trotter (The Thundermans) as Cliff, Brooklynn Pitts as Callie, and Ava Jean as Madison. Also, Sherry Cola (Joy Ride) joins the franchise as Lark.

Of course, like we mentioned, Joe Jonas will reprise his role as Shane Gray, Nick as Nate Gray, and Kevin as Jason Gray, who will be back playing the members of the band Connect 3. Also returning is Maria Canals-Barrera (Wizards of Waverly Place) as Connie.

Now the big question is, what’s the story? The movie begins with Connect 3 losing their opening act for a major reunion tour and returning to Camp Rock to discover the next big thing. This leads to opportunities for campers to open for their favorite band. What does that lead to? Rising tensions, tested friendships, unexpected alliances, revelations, and romances. ​

Ayo Davis, president of Disney Branded Television, stated, “‘Camp Rock’ is an important part of the Disney Channel Original Movie legacy, with unforgettable music, energetic storytelling, and characters that live in the hearts of fans to this day.” She also said, “Bringing it back with Kevin, Joe, Nick, and Demi is such a full-circle moment, and we can’t wait to reintroduce this world to a new generation.”

Camp Rock 3 has a lot to live up to, as Camp Rock and Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam are among the Top 10 Disney Channel Original Movies of all time. Not only that, they were the “number 1 Cable Movie Premiere in their years of premiere”, per Deadline. We’re sure this movie can deliver on a great experience as we return to camp. Camp Rock 3 has already started filming in Vancouver, so now we’ll have to wait patiently for a release date to be announced.
