A Groundbreaking NEW Ride Is Coming To Dollywood in 2026

When it comes to theme parks in the U.S., one of the most highly rated by visitors is Dollywood, which often beats out both Universal and Disney Parks in official theme park rankings.

Dollywood, which is located in Pigeon Forge, TN, has also been busy adding new attractions to keep up with demand. Now, a new ride is coming to the park that will basically be four rides in one…and it’s groundbreaking.

NightFlight Expedition is a new ride coming to Dollywood in 2026 that promises to be a first-of-its-kind experience. Although it’s just one ride, it offers four different ride experiences: flying over the Smoky Mountains, plunging into whitewater rapids, climbing a mountain, and navigating a mysterious lake.

NightFlight Expedition is an expansion to Dollywood’s Wildwood Grove with a hybrid roller coaster and whitewater river ride “on an extraordinary journey to discover the mystery of the legendary Secret Lake.” Yes, it’s four adventures in one ride, and it sounds epic. NightFlight Expedition is located completely indoors in a 44,000 square foot facility, which is bigger than four football fields. It has a track length of nearly a quarter of a mile, a maximum speed of 29 mph, and a ride duration of around 5.5 minutes (including loading and unloading). The minimum height requirement is 39 inches.
