The Super Bowl will happen on February 8th, 2026, which may seem like it’s a long way away, but we’ll be there before we know it. And hey, we’re a theme park blog, so some members of our team are admittedly more interested in the food and entertainment than the game itself. But we know we aren’t alone: one of the biggest questions on everyone’s minds right now is WHO will play at the 2026 Super Bowl Halftime show?

It’s safe to say that a LOT of people are hoping for Taylor Swift to perform at the Super Bowl Halftime show, especially now that Swift and Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs are engaged (and he’s won Super Bowls LIV, LVII, and LVIII with his team). Interestingly enough, we recently got a mysterious hint that tells us it’s POSSIBLE this dream could come true.

Recently, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said in an interview that the NFL is certainly open to having Taylor Swift play, and teased that a show for the 2026 game may be in the works, according to the NFL. Specifically, he’s quoted as saying, “We would always love to have Taylor play. She is a special, special talent, and obviously she would be welcome at any time.”

However, Jay-Z’s Roc Nation oversees the Apple Music Super Bowl LX Halftime Show, and Goodell joked in the same interview, saying, “It’s in his hands, I’m waiting for the smoke to come out,” meaning that the decision will fall to Roc Nation, not the NFL.

If Swift is to perform, it’ll mark quite an impressive feat for her, which is saying something considering how much she’s already accomplished. She recently announced her engagement to Travis Kelce, and we also know that her 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, is set to be released on October 3rd, 2025.
