Disney has been making so many movie announcements lately!
From Toy Story 5 to a new original film, Hexed, there has been no shortage of Disney movies being announced over the last few weeks. Guess what…that hasn’t stopped today, as Disney just made two surprising movie announcements. Let’s take a look at what’s going on!
Let’s start with the first announcement! Disney has a new Christmas movie on the slate for this holiday season, and it’s going to feature none other than the Jonas Brothers. Introducing, A Very Merry Jonas Christmas Movie.
The movie will follow the trio of Nick, Kevin, and Joe as they embark on a Christmas journey, attempting to get from London to New York in time to spend the holiday with their families. The movie shows the brothers refusing any logistical help from their team after they finish a big gig overseas, according to Entertainment Weekly. The brothers will face “a series of escalating obstacles” as they make their way home during the business of the holiday season.
The movie features a star-studded cast coming together for some holiday fun. You’ll see stars, including Jesse Tyler Ferguson, KJ Appa, Andrew Barth Feldman, Randall Park, Andrea Martin, and Billie Lourd!
We did hear about the plan for this movie in January 2025, but now we’re getting new details and a first look at it. The new film will debut on Disney+ on November 14th. You can watch the trailer online NOW!
On to our second movie announcement, which was even more unexpected! It looks like Disney has partnered with YouTube phenom and entrepreneur Mr. Beast. The celebrity appeared in the marketing campaign for Tron: Ares in a post on Walt Disney Studios’ X account.
You can see on the post that Walt Disney Studios put “Mr. Beast” and “Tron: Ares” with a handshake emoji in between them. The video posted started with an ad showing Mr. Beast riding a red Lightcycle. After the ad, Disney shared a special look at the upcoming film.

The next installment of the TRON series stars Evan Peters, Gillian Anderson, Jeff Bridges, Greta Lee, and Jared Leto. The film officially hits theatres on October 10th — tickets are on sale for the film right now!
For all you TRON fans, you’re going to want to head over to the Magic Kingdom! Disney is doing a limited-time overlay on TRON Lightcycle / Run to get ready for the brand-new film. The overlay will also be coming to TRON Lightcycle Power Run in Shanghai Disneyland. The overlays will turn the ride red instead of its usual blue color and will officially hit the parks on September 15th (Magic Kingdom) and September 16th (Shanghai Disneyland).
