NEWS: Disney Announces Port Orleans French Quarter Hotel Lobby Refurbishment

Ah! Disney World just added a hotel lobby to its list of reservations.

Right now, the Grand Floridian’s lobby is under renovation to add a new bar, furniture, carpet, and accents, and now another resort is getting lobby maintenance, as well.

Disney’s Port Orleans Resort — French Quarter’s lobby will be going under renovation. This will run from August 25th to the end of September.

There has been no information beyond that it will go under renovations and that guests may be able to see and hear maintenance during the daytime hours. The lobby will still remain open, along with all amenities.

Port Orleans French Quarter is our go-to spot for one of the best Disney snacks: Mickey-shaped beignets! You can grab them at Scat Cat’s Club Lounge and Cafe.

You can also check out Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory for quick service breakfast, lunch, and dinner, or Mardi Grogs for drinks by the pool.

If you’re staying at the French Quarter, don’t forget to check out Port Orleans Riverside. It’s just a short walk or water taxi away and has different food options to try. Take a dip in the pool, too!
